What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. I’m proud of how Apricity Supervision has grown, and even more excited for what’s ahead.
Hi, I’m Candice
And I am an AASW Accredited Social Worker, service leader, busy mum, and neurodivergent woman, and the sole practitioner and principal supervisor at Apricity Supervision. I am a white settler on stolen, unceded Ngunnawal land. My pronouns are she/her.
I provide online clinical supervision to social workers and allied health professionals at every career stage-from students and early career practitioners through to senior clinicians, leaders, and those working well outside direct practice- online, and Australia-wide, based from Canberra.
My practice is built on the belief that clinical supervision should be a space of warmth, reflection, and renewal- not just case reviews, compliance, or ticking boxes. Supervision is a reflexive space, and when anchored to our values and ethics as intrinsic motivators, true growth and restoration emerge.

Apricity Supervision exists to sustain you in doing the work you always set out to do.
Supervision at Apricity is…
About reconnecting with the values that first drew you into this profession, and illuminating what sustains you. When systems and organisations create tension with your moral or ethical framework, distress can usually follow. When the work feels impossible to do well- or when you feel complicit in harm- clinical supervision becomes the place to pause, to reflect, and to realign with what matters most.
In clinical supervision, I hold space for both the professional and the personal. My approach is:
Values-based — centred on the principles that ground your practice and make you, you
Reflective — creating space to process, integrate, and learn
Ethically anchored — navigating complexity without losing integrity
Sustaining — building resilience and purpose to support you in tough, often ethically-compromising systems
I hold over 16 years of clinical experience across health, mental health, disability, and justice systems- including forensic and court-mandated work, crisis and disaster response, and national-level policy and advocacy roles. I have been providing clinical supervision to practitioners and students since 2014, and hold advanced qualifications including AASW Advanced Clinical Supervision (Mental Health), alongside extensive training in values-based supervision frameworks. I recently completed a Supervision of Supervision masterclass, and I'm now building early foundations in neuropsychology and its intersection with clinical practice and especially with supervision.
I've walked alongside people living with major mental illness, psychosocial disability, suicidality, complex trauma, and substance use for almost two decades. I've supported families, groups, and communities through acute crisis and risk- from post-disaster recovery to frontline responder wellbeing. These experiences have shaped my deep understanding of the ethical challenges practitioners face, and the toll this work can take. I have loved this work deeply, but I too know how difficult it can be to continue to show up in tough systems.
My Experience
Alongside my private supervision practice, I contribute to field education and sessional academic teaching, and I write on moral injury and ethical stress in social work, with a forthcoming publication.
I have a particular love for working with practitioners early in their careers, and equally, for supervising those who've moved into leadership, management, or roles outside direct clinical practice. I also know what it is to be a leader, supervising others and overseeing the professional identity of teams, and that this is where the usual spaces for reflective supervision often don't exist. Apricity is a place to hold that space, wherever you sit in the system, and in whatever stage of career you find yourself.
I am a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused practitioner. My supervision draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is anchored in the personal and professional values and ethics that underpin your social work practice.
